The rebuilding of Kingsley & Froghall Station

A project part financed by the European Regional Development Fund

On 16/10/02 work commenced on the long-awaited re-building of Kingsley & Froghall station. The original station building, along with most of the other Churnet Valley stations, was demolished by BR in the 1960s shortly after the line closed. Now we've turned the clock back all those years and recreated a station at Kingsley & Froghall for all to be proud of. The building closely matches the original and is built in exactly the same spot. It was opened to the public on 19/07/03.
