Winter Steam Gala February 2010

It is with much regret that we have to announce that the Duke of Gloucester will not be attending our Winter Steam Gala due to overrunning repair work.

The owners informed the CVR on the 29th January that the repair work they are undertaking will not be complete. They are sincerely upset
that they are not able to honour their commitment to us & have assured us that we will be able to have the Duke at a later date this year.

In its place we are pleased to announce that GWR Small Prairie 2-6-2T No. 5542 will be joining the Gala line up

Unfortunately the ever increasing cost of transporting visiting locomotives for Gala events can be prohibitive and leaves us with difficult decisions as to whether continuing to hold such events will be financially viable.
