VOLUNTEERS
The Churnet Valley Railway is run mostly by volunteers who are
members of the North Staffordshire Railway Company (1978) Ltd.

PAID STAFF
As the railway is now a substantial business in its own right
and the second largest tourist attraction in the Staffordshire
Moorlands we also find it necessary to employ a small band of
paid staff. Jobs vary from engineering, clerical and catering
and ideally suit enthusiastic, self motivated people, with an
interest in Heritage Railways and / or the running of a major
tourist attraction.

11th Aug 2010 - CHRISTMAS BOOKING ADMINISTRATOR
Temporary 3 month contract with immediate start. Minimum 30 hours
per week including occasional weekend work. Salary £6.00
per hour. Duties include telephone enquiries and processing of
bookings in a very busy office. Must be computer literate, well
organised and methodical. _ Closing date Friday 20th August. Apply

July 2009: Carriage Cleaners
We are looking for volunteer(s) to give
up a few hours each week to help clean the carriage stock. It
is parked up at Cheddleton Station on non running days and requires
washing down, windows cleaning inside and out and vacuuming.
Just like cleaning your car but a couple
of hundred feet longer!
