The newly refurbished Moorlander Dining Carriage

Whilst the world is slipping slowly by you will be served a delicious, freshly prepared, five-course Christmas meal by our dedicated team of caterers during a memorable steam-hauled three hour trip.

Part of the dedicated team who aim to make your dining experience enjoyable

The evening starts at 7-00 PM when you, the guests, start to arrive. You will be greeted by one of our staff and shown to your reserved table
where your individual name cards and menus will be found. Whilst you are awaiting the 7-30 departure you will be served drinks at your
table and given time to peruse the wine list and savour your surroundings.

All seated and about to depart

At 7-30 prompt the train will depart Cheddleton travelling south, deep into the Churnet Valley, en route to Consall Forge. The train will
travel at a sedate pace so that you can properly enjoy and appreciate the superb scenery that makes the valley so special and to give you an
                opportunity to begin your starter.

Two miles later Consall Station eventually comes into view, just as the starters are being finished. At Consall you cross the Cauldon Canal
for the first time and then encounter the newly rebuilt wooden station building and NSR signal box. Then it's slowly on, deeper into the
valley and away to Kingsley & Froghall Station.

At Kingsley & Froghall, the locomotive will detach, take on water and couple up to the north end of the train as you have now reached the
southern most part of your journey. Whilst this is taking place, you will normally be allowed to de-train if you wish and observe the
'goings on' as the steam locomotive is un coupled / coupled.

Once safely back on board, it's time to top up the wine and head sedately back north to Leekbrook via Consall, Cheddleton and Leekbrook
tunnel as you enjoy your main course.

Superb Christmas food, fantastic scenery, steam hauled, an evening to remember

At Leekbrook, the locomotive runs around the train once more and prepares for the return to Cheddleton where you will pass through
the station and travel to Kingsley & Froghall once more whilst the remaining courses are served, finally ending your memorable journey at
Cheddleton, a total length of 18.5 miles taken over 3 hours.
